ValueClick
Inc.’s board of directors has
elected Tom A. Vadnais to be the
company’s new CEO. Vadnais has been
a member of the online marketing
vendor’s board since October 2001
and has held a number of senior
management positions at ValueClick
during this period, including his most
recent position, president of U.S.
operations.
Vadnais succeeds James R. Zarley,
who has served as CEO since 1999.
Zarley will remain at ValueClick,
serving as executive chairman of the
board of directors, focusing primarily
on strategic direction and the
management transition.
“My focus will be on continuing
ValueClick’s successful track record
and capitalizing on opportunities that
exist for all of our businesses,”
Vadnais says.
Vadnais joined ValueClick in 2001
through the company’s acquisition of
Mediaplex, where he was president and
CEO. Vadnais was named that same year
to ValueClick’s board of directors
and since then has held general
manager roles in the company’s
Mediaplex technology and Commission
Junction affiliate marketing
businesses.
